Basketball Recap: Preston Luzader Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Notre Dame

Clay-Battelle hadn't done well against Notre Dame recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees put the hurt on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with a sharp 70-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cee-Bees.

Clay-Battelle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Luzader, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. Luzader's big performance that evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Ponceroff, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine assists.

Clay-Battelle's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Clay-Battelle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-61 win against Hundred on the 21st. As for Notre Dame, they have also already played their next game, a 59-46 loss against Pendleton County on the 22nd.
