Basketball Recap: Jasmine Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Herron over Indianapolis Homeschool Wildcats

If Herron was riding high fresh off their 52-30 takedown of Central Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Herron Achaeans lost 48-27 to Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on Saturday. The Achaeans were not able to make up for their loss to Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Herron lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jasmine Johnson, who posted seven points. Lily Rutherford was another key player, putting up six points.

Herron moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Herron will host Victory College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, they will head out to face off against Colonial Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Colonial Christian's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
