The Hoover Patriots will challenge the Woodlake Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hoover was beaten by McLane 58-13. Xavier Contreras was a one-man wrecking crew for Woodlake as he rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. The dominant performance gave Contreras a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aldo Rodriguez, who threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

Woodlake's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points per game. As for Hoover, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.
