Volleyball Game Preview: Oakwood Comets vs. Milford Bearcats + How To Watch

Oakwood is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Milford a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Oakwood Comets will host the Milford Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Oakwood came up short against Chrisman and fell 2-0.

While Oakwood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, Oakwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Martin had 20 digs. Another player making a difference was Sophia Hart, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Milford also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Tri-Point by a score of 2-0.

Milford was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Oakwood was able to grind out a solid win over Milford when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
