Carson had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coronado Islanders, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Colts have won by exactly two runs.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Carson is taking a road trip to square off against Mt. Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 2.8, the Sundevils 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Coronado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Classical Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Caimans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
