Basketball Recap: Fernley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fernley extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Sheldon Jacobson. The Fernley Vaqueros strolled past the Dayton Dust Devils with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 57-39 thanks in part to Jacobson, who went 11 for 14 on his way to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high.

Fernley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Dayton, they moved to 9-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Fernley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dayton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
