Softball Recap: Ford Panthers vs. Mabank Panthers
Ford stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mabank Panthers with a sharp 10-4 victory. The win was just what Ford needed coming off of a 13-3 loss in their prior contest.
Presley Junell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Junell was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Preslielyn Barraza was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last eight games she's played. Lillian Barraza was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
Ford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Mabank, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
