Soccer Recap: Union City Starts off Right with Win over Alexandria-Monroe

Union City gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. It was an even better day for Eduin Garcia Velasquez as he scored four goals for his team.

Coming up, Union City will welcome Elwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
