North Buncombe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Piedmont, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Buncombe.

Eliza Jackson and Lily Johnson scored both of North Buncombe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Atkins entered their tilt with Central Davidson on Tuesday with 14 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They blew past the Spartans 6-1. The result was nothing new for Atkins, who have now won 13 contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Atkins' win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those nine games. As for North Buncombe, their win bumped their record up to 11-9-1.
