Baseball Game Preview: Kapolei Hurricanes vs. Waialua Bulldogs

Kapolei is 7-1 against Waialua since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hurricanes will venture away from home to square off against the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Waialua took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kapolei, who comes in off a win.

Kapolei will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Friday, then bounced right back against McKinley on Wednesday. The Hurricanes blew past the Tigers 14-1. The victory continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Waialua was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Wai'anae, falling 9-1.

Kapolei's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Waialua, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kapolei skirted past Waialua 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
