Basketball Recap: Immaculate Conception Academy Comes Up Short

Immaculate Conception Academy had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-11 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 73-41 loss at the hands of the Logos Knights. The game marked the Cristeros' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Loss or not, Immaculate Conception Academy got some senior leadership from Desmond Lloyd and Dominic Demeyer. Lloyd posted eight points and five rebounds, while Demeyer put up 19 points and six boards. That was a full 46.3% of the Cristeros' points, marking the third time in a row Demeyer has earned more than a third of the team's points.

As for Logos, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24 points.

Nate Monjure produced another solid effort putting up 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three). Gideon Haney was another key player, posting ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Immaculate Conception Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-38 defeat against Christian Center on the 22nd. As for Logos, they have also already played their next game, a 65-39 loss against Kendrick on the 22nd.
