Recap: Glenelg Country Dragons vs. Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans
The Glenelg Country Dragons suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a tough 72-51 defeat at the hands of Friendship Tech Prep Academy. While losing is never fun, Glenelg Country can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 94th in Maryland, while Friendship Tech Prep Academy is ranked seventh in District of Columbia).
It was another big night for David Bumpass, who scored 24 points along with two steals for Friendship Tech Prep Academy. Bumpass is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Bumpass, who scored 14 points.
Glenelg Country has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenelg Country will take on Archbishop Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archbishop Spalding is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
