Baseball Recap: Irvine Vaqueros vs. El Modena Vanguards
Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Modena Vanguards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vanguards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.
Noah Pham got Irvine off to a strong start despite the final result, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Pham has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
