Football Recap: McLain Science & Tech Titans vs. Hilldale Hornets
McLain Science & Tech had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-6 to make it five. They came up short against the Hilldale Hornets, falling 28-7. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 21-6 to the Hornets when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Ryder Muninger threw for 128 yards while completing 77.8% of his passes. Deneko Reynolds was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards.
As for Hilldale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points over those games.
Hilldale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Scott led the charge by picking up 102 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 44 yards. Scott's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 receiving yards. Bryce Chartney helped out on the ground, rushing for 105 yards and a rushing touchdown.
McLain Science & Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hilldale, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 63-34 loss against Cushing on the 14th.
