Guilford Park put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 25-20 W against the Oakland Mills Scorpions. This was payback for the Panther, who suffered a 28-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

A'Yar Reed-Wright had a dynamite game, throwing for 197 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Guilford Park's leading receiver Andrew Adams was Reed-Wright's top target yet again, picking up 101 receiving yards and one TD.

Guilford Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Eli Best. Guilford Park received some extra help from Best, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Guilford Park's record now sits at 6-0. As for Oakland Mills, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Guilford Park will take on Glenelg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tyler Lee and Russell McIntyre. As for Oakland Mills, they will face off against Long Reach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Scorpions are facing the Lightning at the right time seeing as the Lightning are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
