Basketball Game Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Baker County Wildcats

The Bell Bulldogs and the Baker County Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Bell made easy work of Riverside Christian and carried off a 47-26 win.

Bell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Johnson, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Johnson also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Maddie Smith, who posted 12 points and six steals.

Bell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Baker County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Bulldogs 61-21. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 30 points or more this season.

Baker County's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Bell, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
