Volleyball Recap: Artesia Comes Up Short

Artesia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Pioneer Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Artesia was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pioneer's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-17.

Artesia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Artesia will take on Oxford Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pioneer, they will challenge Glenn at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
