Basketball Recap: Mardela Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mardela can now relate to. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 69-54 to the Snow Hill Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 64-56 loss back in February.

Mardela has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Snow Hill, bringing their record for this year to 22-6.

Mardela does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Snow Hill, they will take on Cambridge-South Dorchester on Thursday. Snow Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Cambridge-South Dorchester likes a good challenge.
