Preview: Ruidoso Warriors vs. Mountainair Mustangs

Ruidoso has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Mountainair Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. Hopefully Ruidoso is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mountainair in New Mexico (Ruidoso is ranked 40th, while Mountainair is ranked 130th).

Ruidoso scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against McCurdy by a score of 81-72. The win was just what Ruidoso needed coming off of a 71-37 loss in their prior game.

It was another big night for Logan Sandoval, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Ruidoso's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Augustine Saiz, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mountainair came up short against To'hajiilee on Tuesday and fell 56-49.

Ruidoso now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mountainair, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-7.
