The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Passaic Valley and West Milford had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hornets really took it to the Highlanders for the full four quarters, racking up a 37-9 win. With the Hornets ahead 30-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Tallon Napoli went supernova, rushing for 64 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Chase Reynolds did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards.

Passaic Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited West Milford to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Hornets weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 76.9%.

Passaic Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
