Softball Game Preview: Seminole Indians vs. Dumas Demons

Seminole is 0-3 against Dumas since March of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Indians will face off against the Demons at 5:00 p.m. Seminole will be strutting in after a victory while Dumas will be coming in after a loss.

Dumas will be up against a hot Seminole squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Indians walked away with a 17-12 win over Lamesa on Monday.

Meanwhile, after a string of 13 wins, Dumas' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against the Harvesters since April 8, 2022.

Seminole pushed their record up to 23-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Dumas, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 13-1 and their overall record down to 28-4.

Seminole might still be hurting after the 24-5 defeat they got from Dumas in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
