Basketball Recap: Faith Lutheran Crusaders vs. Basic Wolves
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Faith Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 69-58 victory over the Basic Wolves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-49 back in December of 2024.
Basic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JaMari Cottingham, who went 7 for 16 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and three steals. Cottingham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Hunter McGory was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
