Softball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Wilcox Chargers

Gunn hasn't had much luck against Wilcox recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Titans will square off against the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Gunn came up short against Los Gatos and fell 9-6.

Gunn saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Violet Hayes, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Hayes has snagged this season. Another was Tess Bogart, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wilcox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Altos.

Wilcox's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Gunn, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Gunn couldn't quite get it done against Wilcox in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as they fell 7-2. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
