After a string of three wins, Heritage Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12.

Mia Becher paced Heritage Hills' offense, picking up three kills. Becher were helped by Kendall Seifert and Kenley Bell, who contributed four assists each.

Leading Evansville Mater Dei to victory were Caroline Schultheis and Emily Kiesel. Schultheis had five digs and four aces, while Kiesel had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Schultheis has posted over her last eight matches.

Heritage Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-10.

Heritage Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Evansville Reitz on the 11th. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against North Posey on the 11th.
