Basketball Recap: Quinton Rolle Jr and Laterro Young Secure Win for Life Prep

Life Prep won the last time they faced Newton, and things went their way on Saturday too. The Life Prep Fire strolled past the Newton Railroaders with points to spare, taking the game 65-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fire.

Life Prep was led to victory by Laterro Young and Quinton Rolle Jr. Young went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points, while Rolle Jr went 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points and six boards. That's the most points Young has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Munnings, who posted 13 points.

Life Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Newton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Life Prep will welcome Grind Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Newton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th.
