Recap: Lincoln vs. A Plus Academy
Lincoln had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over A Plus Academy. This was payback for Lincoln, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Wilfred Giron and
Ntiharirizwa Paphil, who scored.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for A Plus Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
Lincoln will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Wilmer-Hutchins at 7:30 p.m. As for A Plus Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinkston at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinkston is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
