Eastside was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Trenton Tigers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Tigers back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Eastside took Trenton into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 15-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Neeah Mewborn paced Eastside's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mewborn got some help from Essence Davis and her 12 assists. Mewborn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The victory snapped Eastside's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-15 record. As for Trenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Eastside will face off against Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trenton, they will challenge Chiefland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
