Ponder never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Callisburg Wildcats as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Vada Cochrum made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylar Kysiak, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
