It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sauk Rapids-Rice had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Big Lake Hornets. The Storm have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Stella Lambaere paced Sauk Rapids-Rice's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lambaere got some help from Aubrey Marketon and her 16 assists. Abbey Meinert controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sauk Rapids-Rice is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season. As for Big Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Sauk Rapids-Rice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mahtomedi on the 8th. Big Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
