Recap: Regents Knights vs. Hyde Park Panthers
The Regents Knights's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Hyde Park with a sharp 63-39 victory. Given Regents' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Panthers are ranked 989th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Josh Rankin and Elijah Stephenson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Rankin scored 13 points, while Stephenson scored ten points.
Regents has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Hyde Park, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regents will face off against the Eagles on Friday. As for Hyde Park, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Michael's has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,442 points over their last 19 contests.
