League recap: Knappa runs winning streak to 10

Knappa (18-4, 15-3) is riding a league-best 10-game winning streak. Six of those wins came in the past week, including a 15-6 victory over Nestucca.

Having lost 18 games in a row, Neah-Kah-Nie is mired in the league's worst slump. The Pirates lost another three games last week, including a 14-3 defeat against Knappa.

Gaston finished with the most hits in the league this week, adding 173 for a league-leading total of 173. The Greyhounds, which sit in third place, are led by Kyle Casey, who has accumulated 36 hits this season.

Gaston scored a league-best 167 runs this week, adding to its league-leading 167 runs on the season. Adam Johnson is the team leader in runs scored with 32, while Casey has driven in a team-best 32 runs with his bat.
