Akins hasn't had much luck against Lake Travis recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Cavaliers at 7:30  p.m. Akins has given up an average of 28.8  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The Eagles were dealt  a  55-12 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. Meanwhile, Lake Travis strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by  a  31-10 margin over Westlake. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six contests by 21  points or more  so far this season.
 Lake Travis' win came from a few key players Akins will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Vann Hopping, who rushed for 150 yards and one  score while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also caught one  TD. Another player making a difference was  Westin Smith, who picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Akins' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lake Travis, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
