AA River Ridge recap Oct. 30, 2012
Salem extended the longest winning streak in AA River Ridge this week by beating Hidden Valley, 24-14. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Spartans.
Pulaski County took down Blacksburg 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Hidden Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nic Ratliff has thrown for 752 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Jake Kite has 24 catches for 324 yards. Walker Brand leads the league in rushing with 919 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Salem takes on second place Pulaski County. Salem beat the Titans last week, while the Cougars defeated the Bruins.
Hidden Valley's Brand needs only 81 yards against Cave Spring next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The Knights led AA River Ridge in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Christiansburg.
