Grasso Tech proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goodwin Tech Gladiators, sneaking past 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now won six in a row.

Carmine Rodriguez was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Grasso Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Goodwin Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Grasso Tech will take on Old Saybrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Goodwin Tech, they will challenge New Britain at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
