Volleyball Recap: East Central Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

East Central kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Northwest Rankin Cougars by a score of 2-1. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-21 in the first set.

East Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 15-11.

East Central has already played their next contest (against Pass Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northwest Rankin, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Riverside on the 1st.
