Baseball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for East Rowan

East Rowan won against West Stanly last Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Central Cabarrus Vikings a 4-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

East Rowan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Blackwelder, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Krys Hernandez was another, scoring a run and stealing a base.

East Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Central Cabarrus, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

East Rowan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Carson on the 8th. As for Central Cabarrus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Piedmont on the 9th.
