Softball Recap: Millard North Mustangs vs. Beatrice Orangemen        
        
		
             On Friday, Millard North faced Beatrice in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Millard North Mustangs fell just short of the Beatrice Orangemen by a score of  5-4.
 Millard North got a good showing from  Jayda Juarez, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Macey Jarose led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Hayden Nelson, who  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Millard North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Beatrice, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
 Millard North will face off against Lincoln Southwest at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Millard North is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Beatrice, they will challenge Pius X at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games Pius X has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
