Math Civics & Sciences picks up eighth straight win at home

Recap: Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants vs. Mastery Charter North - Pickett Pumas

The Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 75-54 margin over Mastery Charter North - Pickett. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-22.

Leading Math Civics & Sciences to victory were Aiden Brown and Milak Myatt. Brown scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists, while Myatt scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sair Alsbrooks, who scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks.

Despite the defeat, Mastery Charter North - Pickett saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Mitchell scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Savion Staten, who scored ten points.

Math Civics & Sciences pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game.
