Volleyball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Lake Oconee Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of George Walton Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumpkin County Indians on Thursday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Lake Oconee Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Oconee Academy fell to 5-1. As for Lumpkin County, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Lake Oconee Academy and Lumpkin County will both be playing Flowery Branch the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
