Basketball Recap: Fork Union Military Academy Takes a Loss

Fork Union Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Highland Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Hawks are ranked third).

Fork Union Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Highland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-5.

Fork Union Military Academy is taking a road trip to challenge St. Christopher's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will welcome New Hope Academy National at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
