Basketball Recap: Southeastern Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Southeastern Prep Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Miami Country Day Spartans and fell 87-53. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Miguel Orbe produced another solid effort shooting 56% from the field en route to 24 points and six rebounds for Miami Country Day. The game was Orbe's third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Fernando Romero, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points.

Southeastern Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Miami Country Day, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Southeastern Prep Academy has already played their next matchup (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
