Volleyball Recap: Switzerland County Takes a Loss

Switzerland County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Ripley Raiders, falling 3-0. If the Pacers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Switzerland County was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Ripley's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Ripley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Seabolt, who had eight aces and eight assists. Those eight aces gave Seabolt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinley Demaree, who had six aces and three digs.

Switzerland County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Ripley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Switzerland County will head out on the road to face off against Oldenburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Ripley, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
