Football Recap: Fulton County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fulton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake County Falcons. The Pilots gained 62 more yards on the day, but it was the Falcons that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Fulton County lost, don't look at Preston Smith. Despite the final result, he threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards and one score. 81 of Smith's passing yards were hauled in by Drake Thorpe.

Fulton County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lake County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton County will host Caverna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pilots will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lake County, they will welcome West Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
