Valley View hasn't had much luck against Hidalgo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Valley View Tigers will be playing at home against the Hidalgo Pirates at 8:00 p.m.

Valley View is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They had to suffer through a 68-32 loss at the hands of La Feria. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1413th, while the Lions are ranked 488th).

Meanwhile, Hidalgo humbled Grulla with a 76-35 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Hidalgo has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
