Marquette had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They never let the Northwest Lions get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Marquette have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Marquette pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Northwest, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Marquette will square off against Lafayette at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Marquette surely won't give up without a fight. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
