Basketball Recap: Sterne Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

If City Arts and Leadership Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sterne, they should've done a better job of containing Smith Trimble. The Sterne Dolphins walked away with a 53-45 win over the City Arts and Leadership Academy Hawks on Tuesday thanks in part to Trimble, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points and eight steals. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high.

Andrew Jones was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games he's played.

Sterne has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for City Arts and Leadership Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sterne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-35 victory against Lycee Francais on the 22nd. City Arts and Leadership Academy has also already played their next contest (against O'Connell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
