Basketball Recap: Libby Comes Up Short

Libby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 49-36 to the Polson Pirates. The Loggers were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Polson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Rensvold, who posted 14 points and three steals. That's the most steals Rensvold has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rylee Taylor-Jefferson, who earned 16 points.

Libby's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Polson, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Libby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-30 loss against Whitefish on the 28th. As for Polson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-39 defeat against Columbia Falls on the 30th.
