Basketball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Reagan Raiders

The R.J. Reynolds Demons will square off against the Reagan Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

R.J. Reynolds came up short against West Forsyth on Thursday, falling 76-53. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Reagan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 57-52 to Mount Tabor. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Spartans are ranked 31st).

Reagan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for R.J. Reynolds, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-8.

R.J. Reynolds couldn't quite finish off Reagan when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 58-56. Can R.J. Reynolds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
