Softball Preview: North Point Eagles vs. Chopticon Braves

North Point is 1-9 against Chopticon since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The North Point Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Chopticon Braves at 4:30 p.m. North Point will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

North Point scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They never let Westlake onto the board and left with a 15-0 win. With that victory, North Point brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Alyssa Blaney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Blaney has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Blaney was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
