Volleyball Recap: Russia Extends Winning Streak to Three

Russia waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Elida Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Russia easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

Hazel Francis paced Russia's offense, picking up ten kills. Francis got some help from Ava Gibson and her 14 assists.

Russia's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Elida, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Russia has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against New Knoxville on the 27th. As for Elida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Kalida on the 27th.
